Canvas has recently made improvements to Canvas Studio so that automatically-generated captions are created with 99% accuracy. This development has the potential to benefit students with accessibility issues, such as those with hearing impairments.

Following this achievement, Canvas has begun automatically captioning all videos. Shortly after a video is recorded or uploaded to Studio, Canvas sends that person an email asking them to review and publish the automatically-generated captions. This change does not affect the process of uploading and embedding videos in Canvas.
