The nation’s best documentary series

Congratulations to the Flinders team behind the SBS series Australia’s Sleep Revolution, which was recently named as the national winner for Best Documentary Series and Best Direction (non-fiction) in the Asian Academy Awards. The series is now shortlisted for the final prize, to be judged and awarded at an award ceremony in Singpore later this year.

The Asian Academy Awards are Asia-Pacific’s most prestigious awards for creative excellence, and recognise outstanding works from 17 nations/regions.

Australia’s Sleep Revolution has also been shortlisted for an award from the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) in the Health and Social category. The winners of the AIB awards will be announced at a gala in London in November.

The Australia’s Sleep Revolution team, including Professor Danny Eckert, Associate Professor Sutapa Mukherjee from Flinders, are also finalists in the Excellence in Science and Industry Collaboration category of the 2024 SA Science Excellence and Innovation Awards.
