In honour of NAIDOC Week, the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement have collaborated with the Research Office to offer free cultural activities to promote awareness, appreciation, and connection through creativity, conversation, and community.
NAIDOC Week is a significant occasion that celebrates and recognises the rich history, diverse cultures, and remarkable achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a time for all Australians to come together to learn more about the oldest continuing cultures on Earth. The week serves as a meaningful opportunity to deepen our understanding of First Nations peoples, their traditions and the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.
On Tuesday 8 July, you can take part in free cultural activities including jewellery making, art and weaving, in The Hub at Bedford Park. Free donuts and refreshments will also be on offer.
