City Campus level 6 upgrade

Works on level 6 of the City Campus are ongoing with restrictions in place on the southern side of the building.

This work will expanded teaching capacity with two clinical labs and hi-fidelity rooms, a multipurpose lab and home simulation lab.

Works are expected to conclude on Friday 29 May. While unavailable to book now, the two recording booths will be back online from Monday 1 June.

Furniture refresh

Outdoor furniture updates in Anchor Court continue through April with reduced seating during this time. Some of the booths have been relocated to Bull Court (Earth Sciences courtyard).

New Anchor Court booths continue to be constructed and installed through April, with tables and umbrellas for the booths arriving in May.

We also expect new furniture for level 2 of the Student Hub to start arriving in the next few weeks, with the existing furniture relocated and reused in other areas on campus.

Robovac trial in the Library

If you work or study early (between 6am and 8am), be on the look-out for a robotic vacuum cleaner being trialled on level 1 of the Central Library from Monday 20 to Friday 24 April.

Access will remain open on all floors and a member of our cleaning team will be supervising.

Window cleaning

We are continuing to clean windows on our campus buildings.

This week, if weather conditions are favourable, windows will be cleaned on the:

  • Alan Mitchell Sports Centre
  • Biology Discovery Centre
  • Drama Centre.

If you’re in these buildings, please keep the windows closed.

There will be exclusion zones below all window cleaning works, so please stay out of the exclusion zones and follow directions on signage and from staff.
