Show Up to Adelaide Climate Action Week (ACAW)
As an official event of ACAW, South Australia’s first community-led climate festival, Flinders is hosting ‘Planet Talks, Pizza and Precincts’ on Friday 31 July, featuring eminent Flinders academics addressing ACAW’s 5 action areas of:
- Learn
- Care
- Use Wisely
- Restore, and
- Be Ready.
Show up to hear from:
- Professor Corey Bradshaw – Population and climate change / global-change ecology — how human endeavour and climate fluctuations have altered past, present and future ecosystems
- Professor Thuy Pham – Research has made significant contribution to global, regional and national climate change policies
- Professor Kristin Ross – Human Health and the Environment
- Dr Afrooz Bayat – Sustainable and renewable energy production pathways
- Associate Professor Laura Lesar – Environmental studies, sustainability, and tourism.
Presentations begin at 11am in the Noel Stockdale room on level 2 of the Central Library, Bedford Park campus, and conclude at 12:15pm with audience questions, pizza and networking until 1pm.
Lunch will be followed by a hosted group tour of campus sustainability features.
