Recognise and celebrate the people and teams creating meaningful impact and shaping a brighter future for all by nominating them for a Universities Australia (UA) 2026 Shaping Australia Award!

From breakthroughs in health and medical research to innovative teaching, industry partnerships and community initiatives, the Shaping Australia Awards showcase the many ways universities contribute to a stronger, smarter and more prosperous Australia. 

Entries are invited across the following categories: 

• Problem solver award – recognising research that has transformed the lives of Australians for the better.

• Future builder award – celebrating individuals or teams equipping students with the knowledge, skills and opportunities to succeed.

• Community champion award – honouring those who have demonstrated a deep and lasting commitment to their communities.

Winners will be announced at the UA annual Summit dinner at Parliament House, Canberra on Wednesday 24 February 2027.
