ABC Media is searching for dynamic early-career PhD scholars or arts practitioners with flair and a passion for communicating their work to a wide and diverse audience, for possible selection as one of three ABC Top 5 media residencies.

The ABC Top 5 aims to develop the communication skills and media awareness of Australia’s emerging thinkers — helping researchers share their knowledge and expertise with audiences who are seeking credible information and informed debate.

Successful applicants will spend two weeks ‘in residence’ at ABC Radio National, learning from some of Australia’s most well-known journalists and broadcast.

The successful applicants will receive training in media communication and how to develop content for different platforms, and will also be offered the opportunity to engage with ABC teams across TV and digital departments.
