The second electrical shutdown is coming up this Saturday 18 July in the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences buildings and South Lecture Theatres.

Electrical shutdown works – Saturday 18 July

Electrical shutdown works are ongoing, with shutdowns this Saturday in the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences buildings and South Lecture Theatres.

In most cases, buildings and lifts will be closed during works. If you work or study in these locations, please refer to the full program of works.

 

Tree works for fire protection

From Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 July, we will be removing 15 Aleppo pine trees in the pine forest. These are non-native trees, considered to be a highly invasive weed in the Mount Lofty Ranges. This will create a 40m buffer zone between the pine forest and buildings for bushfire mitigation and safety purposes.  The work will generate some noise and traffic management will be in place on adjacent to Oasis. Pedestrian and vehicular movement will be maintained.

 

Accessible toilet door works

Works to upgrade accessible toilet doors start this week across multiple buildings. Please stay out of work zones and follow signage to other facilities nearby.

 

Robo-mower

You may have noticed a small red ‘shed’ at the southern end of the Student Hub?  This houses our new robotic mower which is automated to cut nearby lawns at night (programmed to operate autonomously, similar to robo-vacuum). So, if you’re on or around the Plaza lawns at night, please stay away from the mower while it’s operating.
