In May 2016 the Centre for Remote Health welcomed new Topic Coordinator Lyn Byers.
Lyn has worked as a Remote Area Nurse across remote Central Australia for many years. She is a registered midwife and holds a graduate diploma in mental health nursing as well as a Master’s degree in Remote Health (Nurse Practitioner).
Lyn has a keen interest in clinical governance in the remote setting and chairs the Editorial Committee for the Remote Primary Health Care Manuals suite. She is passionate about remote health and the drivers of health and well-being and brings her extensive clinical knowledge to the Remote Health Program along with a sound theoretical background.
