Farewell to Ross Carter

Flinders NT bids farewell to Ross Carter, Deputy Manager Flinders NT, who completed his duties with Flinders NT on 21 August 2020.

Ross took up the position with Flinders NT in 2016 and has been instrumental in providing leadership in all the programs and projects in the Centre for Remote Health for the past four years. Ross’s commitment and passion to Centre for Remote Health stems from his understanding of the benefits that education and training delivers to Indigenous health.

Prior to his role with Flinders NT, Ross was General Manager of Alcohol & Other Drug Services Central Australia for two years and Practice Manager at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress for three years. Ross has a nursing background and has spent a great deal of his career working remotely. Interestingly Ross also worked for Red Cross in Northern Afghanistan as a Medical Coordinator for two-years.

Ross is departing in order to spend more time with his family in rural South Australia. We wish him all the best and we hope to see him back in the NT sometime soon.
