We are pleased to advise that applications are now open for the 2024 Heart Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship, close date Friday 14 June 2024.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Chief Investigator A (CIA) must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or have applied for Australian permanent residency.
- CIA must be based in Australia for at least 80% of the funding period.
- Scholarships are available to high-achieving students enrolled in an Australian university’s postgraduate program.
- PhD Scholarship:
- Funded for a maximum of three years of full-time equivalent (FTE) study.
- No more than 12 months of completed PhD study as of January 1 in the funding year.
- Master’s Degree Scholarship:
- Funded for a maximum of two years of FTE study.
- No more than six months of completed Master’s degree study as of January 1 in the funding year.
- Top-up Funding:
- Applicants for NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarships can also apply for the Heart Foundation’s Postgraduate Scholarship.
- Funding from both schemes must start simultaneously.
- Successful applicants can choose NHMRC funding with a top-up stipend from the Heart Foundation.
Applications must be submitted via the Heart Foundation’s Grants Management Portal.
