IDS hosts 2019 CAUDIT Managers Program

This year, David Dickinson (Digital Platform Technology Lead), Zarine (Business Improvement Lead) and I (Jane Dong, Manager Student Systems) all attended the CAUDIT Managers Program. The main purpose of this program is to coach managers and team leaders to be more effective and efficient with their work and encourage networking among the participants. It’s a great learning opportunity and one we all found very valuable.

In a nutshell, we:

  • identified the areas we needed to improve on through the 360 feedbacks;
  • learnt how to coach effectively;
  • learnt the tools for self-mastery and how to influence effectively;
  • learnt from other participants through their real experiences and their learning journey;
  • learnt tips for running effective meetings;
  • learnt how to set effective goals.

Flinders University hosted the final last face-to-face session last week here at our Bedford campus, in the Alere Function Centre.  Doni Bruno and Vanessa Dorshorst ran a fantastic campus tour for our course gests, ended with a memorable beer tasting activity in the Tavern. Of course, this was a huge success.

Mark Gregory also shared his great insights and advice to the CAUDIT participants in the ‘CIO talk’ section in Kerrie’s absence. At the end of the two-day session here at Flinders, we hosted a very successful networking event with other IDS staff. This was the highest attended networking session of all the groups ever, so we’d like to say a huge thank you to everybody who attended.

Kind Regards,

Jane, David and Zarine
