Transforming how curriculum is managed at Flinders

Target audience: IDS Staff

One standard for course outcomes: all students; all locations; all modes; all times
– Prof. Clare Pollock, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students)

The securing of a new curriculum management system is only the beginning of the transformation of how the curriculum will be managed at Flinders.

Flinders currently operates in a complex environment without a single system to store and manage curriculum information. The Curriculum Management Program, a partnership between the Educational Quality Team and Digital Student and Teaching Services, seeks to implement a technology-based, people-centred solution underpinned by appropriate policy and related procedures.

The program has reached a significant milestone with the contract finalised with our preferred system provider – Factor5 at an event on 15th October.

Factor5’s CourseLoop product is a highly configurable end-to-end curriculum management solution that has been purpose-built for universities. It comprises four applications each supporting a specific aspect of the curriculum management lifecycle and enabling continuous improvement.
