Sturt Library Learning Hub is now open!

The new look Sturt Library

The Sturt Library has undergone a colourful refurbishment over summer and students now have a new, bright and flexible space for learning and study.  Come in & check it out!

We have opened up the area on the entrance level of the library to make the most of the huge windows, natural light and wonderful views over the city and the sea.

Comfortable armchairs and coffee tables offer a relaxing spot to study, rest, or socialise between lectures and tutes.

Study tables are scattered throughout the space for either individual or group study purposes.

Most of the study tables have power points embedded for easy laptop use, and wireless internet access is available throughout the library.

There are also lots of computers available on individual pods or on group workstations.

So where are all the books?

The Reference, Audio-Visual and ASMS collections remain on Level 3, while the Periodicals collection has been moved downstairs next to the Sturt Books collection on Level 2.

Now most of our print collection is located downstairs, which also provides an area of quiet individual study space.

We welcome feedback on the new design so tell us what you think, either through the Library Suggestion Box, or leave a comment here on the blog!
