Human Rights: are they relevant to the lives of ordinary Australians?

Friday 14 August 2009, 5.30 pm, at the State Library Lecture Theatre, cnr North Terrace and Kintore Avenue.

The National Human Rights Consultation Committee is due to report to the Federal Government at the end of August.

In anticipation of the national debate this will generate, human rights law expert Associate Professor Tina Dolgopol, co-author of the Law Society of South Australia’s submission to the Human Rights Consultation, will explain the importance of human rights in the life of all Australians.

All welcome – Admission free – Light refreshments served.
