Flinders University Library invites you be privy to some illuminating anecdotes from Anthony Steel, arguably one of Australia’s most provocative festival directors, as he reflects on his very English roots and his past experiences as a prominent arts leader. Anthony has had a long and colourful career in the arts in Australia and elsewhere and gained renown directing Adelaide and Sydney Festivals during the 1970s and 1980s. Anthony will be in conversation with Radio Adelaide and 5EBI broadcaster Ewart Shaw who will attempt to draw from Anthony juicy highlights from his anecdotal memoir Painful in Daily Doses. Friday 18 March at 3.30pm in the Noel Stockdale Room, Level One, Central Library. All welcome, no bookings required, no admission charge, light refreshments served.
