Dunstan in his own words

Scans of more than 3500 speeches, press releases, articles and radio scripts  spanning four decades of Don Dunstan’s career in public life are now available in full text online. Ranging from Dunstan’s early radio broadcasts as the Member for Norwood, to his Whitlam Lecture in 1998, this newly digitised material gives insight into a unique political career and a period of great importance in the history of South Australia and of the nation as a whole. Just about every subject Dunstan concerned himself with – Aboriginal land rights, the place of the Arts in society,  industrial development, liquor licensing laws, foreign policy, Commonwealth-State relations, law reform, human rights and much more – is represented.
