Welcome to Dr Danny Kingsley

Flinders University Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Danny Kingsley as the incoming Associate Librarian, Content and Digital Library Strategy.

Danny is an expert in developing strategy and policy in the higher education and research sector with extensive international experience in Australia, Europe and the UK. She has held positions with Cambridge University Libraries, most recently as Deputy Director (Scholarly Communication & Research Services). Before moving to the UK, Danny was the Australasian Open Access Support Group (now Open Access Australasia) Executive Officer. She established the AOASG after four years as the Manager, Scholarly Communication and ePublishing at the Australian National University.

Since returning to Australia in May 2019, Danny has consulted for the University of Queensland, QUT, University of Melbourne and the Australian Academy of Sciences. She holds a Visiting Fellowship at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science. Danny is also a member of the Board of Directors for FORCE11 and sits on the Australian Academy of Science’s National Committee for Data in Science.

“I am delighted that Danny will be joining us at Flinders university Library in this crucial leadership role,” says Library Director Prashant Pandey. “Danny brings a wealth of experience to Flinders Library as we embark on the next stage of our Digital Library journey.”

Danny will commence in her role on Monday 31st May 2021 and will be located on Level 0 of the Central Library.
