The Flinders University Library team is hitting the road with SLSS colleagues to connect with our vibrant Rural, Regional, & Remote communities.

With visits to Darwin, Mount Gambier, and Renmark, these outreach trips bring Library services directly to the people who make our regional campuses thrive, building on our 2024 visits and supporting our Strategic Priority 2.1: Deliver a Library Experience for Rural and Remote students and staff.

Upcoming visits:

  • Mount Gambier: 21–23 July
  • Darwin: 27 July – 1 August
  • Renmark: 11–13 Augus

Our goal

Building on the insights gathered during our 2024 visits, this trip aims to put feedback into action by delivering tailored, in-person Library services that meet the specific needs of students, staff, and researchers across our Rural, Regional, and Remote campuses.

What We’re Bringing

  • Library pop-up sessions for students, teaching staff, and researchers
  • Library induction sessions for South Australian Rural Medical Program staff and students, Northern Territory Medical Program students, nursing and allied health cohorts
  • One-on-one appointments for teaching staff and researchers
  • Research workshops – covering research metrics to demonstrate impact with SciVal, InCites, and Overton, and an overview of research support services available
  • Drop-in sessions – open to students, teaching staff, and researchers

Where to find us

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey—and if you’re on one of our RRR campuses, we can’t wait to see you soon!
