End of year for our MD Rural Stream students

It is the end of the year for our third year MD Rural Stream students who have honed their clinical skills, worked alongside rural clinicians and immersed themselves in their adopted communities.

Across the South Australian footprint from the Greater Green Triangle to the Riverland and all sites between, end of year was celebrated with staff and clinical educators and students reflected on their amazing rural experiences.

Across the regions they applied themselves to their studies and clinic work, and immersed themselves into their communities playing soccer, football, horse riding, kayaking, ten pin bowling, training for a half marathon, local quiz nights, were ambassadors for the program at field days and open nights, spoke to community groups and embraced all that was available to them.

A comment about the year from one of our students “I’ve found the program a fantastic opportunity with a lot of hands-on experiences and chances to really develop ones skills. This mixed with ability to engage with the local community, you get the most out of our time here. The staff and educators, in the program, encouragements to participate the community helps to find a balance between study commitments and socialising. “
