Meet our latest Quiet Achiever Awardees

 

The latest Quiet Achiever Awardees were celebrated at the recent College Forum held on Monday 8 May. These individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions and outstanding performance in their respective roles.

Congratulations to Kerri Lord, Shannon Welsh, Christina Cudd, Carolyn Lake, and Fiona Smith on this well-deserved recognition!

Kerri Lord was recognized for her remarkable work in facilitating student communications, ensuring academic staff are updated about class registration and enrollment, and leading cross-college discussions regarding registration for impacted topics. Additionally, Kerri provided invaluable organizational and coordination support, ensuring that orientation events ran smoothly, and new students were warmly welcomed. Her contributions were instrumental in ensuring the success of the orientation program.

Shannon Welch was acknowledged for her commitment to quality and continuous improvement in supporting Year 1 Paramedicine students in preparation for placement. Her exceptional service has raised the profile of the Work Integrated Learning support team at Sturt and laid a great foundation to build on our service delivery to enhance the student journey.

Christina Cudd was recognized for her student-centered and innovative approach in providing Work Integrated Learning support to Year 1 Paramedicine students by developing timely and meaningful resources to assist them in navigating the onboarding compliance process. Christina has delivered exceptional service, ensuring that students are appropriately prepared to undertake their placement program.

Carolyn Lake was awarded for her ability to build rapport with professional and academic stakeholders and her instrumental role in leading discussions about the use of data, increasing efficiencies, and managing risk with Student Progress and Assessment Advisor processes, Progress Tests, and Learning Coach support. Her commitment, strategic planning, knowledge, and technical abilities make Carolyn a priceless asset to the Student Administration Services team.

Finally, Fiona Smith was recognized for her unwavering commitment to excellence, professional, proactive, and positive “can-do” attitude, and outstanding approach to teamwork and collaboration in supporting colleagues and stakeholders in the College of Medicine and Public Health.
