Rural and Remote Health at Open Days

The Rural and Remote Health team really enjoyed being part of Bedford Park Open Days last week, with Jacqui travelling up from Mt Gambier and Elspeth down from the Riverland.

Our distinctly rural stand certainly caught the eye and it was wonderful to have many country families and prospective students visit and speak to staff and current students about the MD Rural Stream and other courses that include rural placements.

Fourth year medical students who spent their third year in one of our four regions enthusiastically shared their experiences and different pathways to medicine. They are such great ambassadors for the program and always generous with their time at events like this and a big thank you to David, Ben, Lucymarie, Laura, Izak, and Daniel!!

The support from our RRH Dean, Robyn Aitken, Deputy Dean Claire Drummond and Director of Operations, Liam Murphy was appreciated.

More than one visitor to the stand said how impressed they were with the organisation, presentations and information available over the two days.
