Merging researcher, Carly Moores

Departmental Research Assistant Dr Carly Moores  has recently completed a 6-week post-doctoral research exchange placement at the University of Sydney. Carly spent her time working with academic hosts Professor Rebecca Mason and Dr Kaye Brock in the area of ageing and obesity epidemiology. Carly was able to complete this work with funding from the Emerging Researchers in Ageing Travel Exchange Program (2014) and the recently established University Professional Staff Development Fund. Carly found her time spent in another institution extremely valuable and anticipates her ongoing work with Professor Mason, Dr Brock and others will be submitted for publication in coming months. Carly is currently contributing to an investigation on obesity and ageing in Macau using epidemiological data. This professional development opportunity complements work Carly did earlier when she completed the ‘Fifth International Course on Nutritional Epidemiology’ at Imperial College, London, in September 2014.
