The 10th Asia Pacific Conference on Clinical Nutrition was held last month, on our very own doorstep at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 26 – 29 November. The conference incorporated the Joint Annual Scientific Meeting of the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) and the Nutrition Society of New Zealand (NSNZ). Many staff, current students and recent graduates from the department attended the meeting and pre-conference events over five days. Staff members also contributed to the organisation of the conference, review of abstracts, chairing of sessions, and presented over 15 oral and poster presentations at the meeting.
Dr Kacie Dickinson from the NSA Adelaide Regional Group also co-ordinated an NSA/NSNZ booth for APCCN delegates to find out more about the two societies. There were also healthy snacks, an interactive quiz with prizes and even some crickets to try from the edible bug shop!
