Sax Institute Evidence Check Review on Community-based approaches to adolescent obesity prevention – report and paper now published

This time last year Prof Michelle MillerDr Lucy BellDr Jacqui MillerDr Carly MooresMs Louisa Matwiejczyk and Ms Raechel Damarell (Gus Fraenkel Medical Library) were awarded external, competitive funding ($26,000) brokered by the Sax Institute and commissioned by the New South Wales Office of Preventive Health/Centre for Population Health.

The Sax Institute Evidence Check Review on Community-based approaches to adolescent obesity prevention is now available online and the corresponding manuscript has been published in Obesity Reviews, a journal ranked in the top 1% of all Public Health, Environmental, and Occupational Health titles.

For their work on this report and paper, the research team were awarded a Vice President and Executive Dean’s Research Award (College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University) in December 2017.
