Last Friday, several Play It Again team members spoke at ACMI’s Game Masters Forum on the topic of collecting video games and the issues cultural institutions face in collecting such content. Following a rousing Q&A with collector Warren Spector (Disney Junction Point Studio), Helen Stuckey talked about the role of collectors and fans in preserving and remembering much of the history, Susan Corbett spoke about the IP issues, and Winfried Bergmeyer presented on some of the work of the Berlin Computerspiele Museum, showing off the KEEP Emulation Framework.
There were some great questions and comments from the audience, and later even some volunteering to help us out! Thanks all. ACMI has put some images up of the event here. The videorecordings will hopefully follow!
