Heading to Columbia College Chicago

It has been a long and busy journey to this point, requiring a great deal of hard work but it is now completely worth it. In the new year I will be spending 5 months overseas in Chicago, studying visual arts and majoring in photography.

This is an experience I’ve wanted since the beginning of my first year, now going into my third I am prepared for the life changing experience – that will affect me as both a person and an artists. I am incredible excited about living on campus and being able to stay in the centre of the city, surrounded by such a rich and vibrant culture. Whilst there I will be exposed to a number of new things and meet people for different parts of the world.
I am excited to see how this experience will change me and how much of a positive impact it will have on me. I am specifically keen to see the art of the city and be exposed to artists who may never travel to Adelaide.

This exchange will be a very different situation for me but I am very excited to jump straight into the deep end with it and learn as much as I can about a different city and country. There are still a few things I need to finalises but I am only steps away from achieving my dream, for the past few years.
