Adventures at Amazing Adelaide

Today was the first day of Spring in Adelaide, and it was beautiful like it always is. The dream is finally a reality, and I have arrived in Australia for a semester abroad. It has been almost two months since I moved, and it’s been delightful to be at Flinders so far.

As I made my way to my accommodation I was greeted by the fresh cool wind, the lush greenery that surrounds the whole place and the constant chirping of the colourful rainbow lorikeets. I familiarised myself with the ways to get around to nearby places & also learnt some Aussie slang!

So far, I have been to the Mt.Lofty Summit, Cleland Wildlife Park, Hallett Cove, the city and two beaches namely Glenelg and Brighton. The International Student Services were kind enough to help make some of these experiences happen.

Amidst meeting adorable Koalas and Kangaroos, going to concerts in the city and watching picturesque sunsets at the beach, Adelaide has started to grow on me.

To sum up, Australia has been treating me right although I miss the comfort of home and Indian food. I cannot wait to make my way to Queensland and dive in the Great Barrier Reef in the coming mid semester break, and check a few things off my bucket list!

To making memories,
