Students are reminded that Flinders University will close at 1pm on Tuesday 24 December 2019 and will re-open at 9am on Thursday 2 January 2020.
You will only be able to access the Bedford Park Hub during the closure if you have 24/7 access enabled on your student ID card. The exception to this will be the Connect study space, level 0 in the Central Library, which will be inaccessible. Please be aware that all food/drink vendors will be closed, and only security staff will be on site during this time.
Throughout the University closure period, the Flinders University Health, Counselling and Disability service will also be closed. If you require urgent crisis counselling support during the closure period you can use the University’s after hours crisis support line by calling 1300 512 409 or by texting 0488 884 103. This after hours service is available all year-round and includes weekends and public holidays.
If you require a home visit after hours by a doctor, please phone the National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25. You can also visit the Marion Domain Medical Centre, which will be open during this time. In a medical emergency, always dial triple zero.
The Flinders University Health, Counselling and Disability service will re-open from 9am on Thursday 2 January. You can make an appointment by calling (08) 8201 2118 between 9am and 5pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays and the closure period) or email counselling@flinders.edu.au.
Students are also reminded that some of the Health, Counselling and Disability services have relocated, temporarily. You will need to visit the temporary reception in the Union building prior to all appointments, until mid-February 2020. Read more about the relocation.
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2020.
