Flinders University will close at 5pm on Friday 18 December 2020 and will re-open at 9am on Monday 11 January 2021.
During this time, all Flinders’ campuses and services will be closed with a few exceptions, as detailed below.
Health, Counselling and Disability Services and Crisis Counselling Support
The Flinders University Health, Counselling and Disability service will be closed from 5pm on Friday 18 December 2020, and will re-open at 8.45am on Monday 11 January 2021.
During the closure period, crisis counselling support will be available 24/7 via the Out of Hours Crisis Support Line. You can access this service by calling 1300 512 409 or by texting 0488 884 103.

The Central Library will be open 24/7 during the closure period for you to use the study spaces, access computers and Wi-Fi, and borrow physical books.
To access the buildings, you will need to ensure 24/7 swipe access is enabled on your student ID card. If you do not have this enabled, and you wish to visit the Library during this time, please contact Flinders Security.
*Please be aware that all food/drink vendors on campus will be closed and only security staff will be on site during this time.
FLO help and Ask a Librarian
Flinders Learning Online (FLO) Helpdesk and Ask A Librarian services will be unavailable from 1pm Monday 23 December 2020 and will re-open at 9am on Monday 4 January.
Office of Student Recruitment
Student Advisors will be available over the closure period to provide advice and guidance regarding studying in 2021. If you are wanting to discuss options for changing your course, they will be available at the times listed below by calling 1300 354 633 (select option 1).
- Monday 21 December to Wednesday 23 December: 8am – 6pm
- Thursday 24 December: 8am – 5pm
- Wednesday 30 December and Thursday 31 December: 9am – 5pm
- Monday 4 January to Friday 29 January: 8am – 6pm (excluding weekends and public holidays)
