Flinders University Academy taking shape

Planning is underway to create a space for the Flinders University Academy, which will deliver innovative new pathways for international students from 2023.

The Co-Op space near the Library, as well as learning spaces in the surrounding areas and on levels 1 and 2, will be revitalised and repurposed for the Academy. As part of this, Library computer labs 151, 152, 163 and 164 will be relocated to new four new student study spaces on levels 2 and 3 of the Library. These new study spaces will be equipped with new carpeting, paintwork and furniture, as well as new network switches and WAPs to provide better connectivity within the Library.

To prepare these spaces for construction, PCs are being removed from these computer labs this week. Construction works are anticipated to start from 10 August and the project is scheduled for completion by October. Please note that there is no access to these spaces until after this time.

This project will deliver five new teaching spaces and a student service centre for Flinders University Academy, as well as four new quiet study spaces for student use within general Central Library spaces. We will keep you up to date as the project progresses.
