Applying for a teaching award serves many purposes. It provides time for reflection and reinvigoration of motivation and shares your work with others who may be inspired to improve their own teaching practice. Successful applications can provide monetary reward which can be used to further develop your teaching, and receipt of an award counts as supporting evidence of performance for promotion applications. At Flinders, we have a trajectory of awards from college-level to institutional-level and on to the national stage. Support at each step is provided by CILT staff.
