Workday, our new HR platform, is getting closer to its first release. Staff have been seeing live demonstrations during our visits to college and portfolio briefings, and some staff have participated in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Workday.
Workday will replace Employee Self Service (ESS) for most staff, and provide a new, more flexible way of managing common People & Culture tasks such as requesting a period of absence (e.g. annual leave), checking your annual leave balance, managing your personal information and viewing your current payslip. It will also provide staff with better visibility of our organisational structure and provide new ways to navigate our organisation chart. Workday comes with iOS and Android mobile apps which is a great improvement over our current platform and will make it easier for staff to manage their information and raise certain requests.
You can learn more about Workday in our launch video below.
Our first release in June is the start of this implementation which will see further Workday features released through 2020 and into 2021.
Our move to the Workday platform is the technology component of the People & Culture services transformation program. The purpose of this program is to deliver:
- transformation of P&C and its services (P&C service delivery)
- business process changes
- a new technology platform (Workday)
As part of this transformation, we are also moving a range of service requests into Service One. Several new People & Culture services are available now in Service One, with more identified for release alongside Workday in June. You can use Service One today for:
- requesting non-standard leave,
- processing approved requests for leave to attend an outside studies program(approved forms)
- processing approved requests to attend an overseas conference (approved forms)
