E-Asia – infectious diseases and cancer

The e-Asia Joint Research Program, in collaboration with the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Health Research Council of New Zealand and 10 other funders, invites proposals for its call on infectious diseases and cancer. This supports collaborative research addressing health and medical issues in east Asia, with the aim of enhancing regional research capacity through multilateral collaboration. Proposals should address one or more of the following topics:

•infectious diseases;

•cancer.

Proposals should be submitted by a PI on behalf of a consortium consisting of at least three research teams. A research project must consist of an Australian research team collaborating with research teams seeking support from a minimum of two e-Asia participating member organisations. PIs must be affiliated with an institution in a participating country and fulfil their respective domestic eligibility rules. Researchers from industry are encouraged to participate.

Participating member organisations contribute their own support. The project period is three years.
