Matthew Flinders has been in the international news lately thanks to a project driven since 2012 by Flinders alumnus, Mr Matt Johnson, Deputy Agent General for South Australia in the UK. A committee commemorating the bi-centenary of Flinders’ death in 2014 is fundraising for a commemorative life-size statue of Matthew Flinders at Euston Station in London.
