The last day of business for 2013 will be Friday, 20 December 2013 and the University will re-open on Thursday, 2 January 2014.

The tradition of closing for business at 1.00 pm on the day of the University closure will continue and all professional staff (excluding casual staff) who attend work that day (and who normally work a full day) will be credited with three (3) hours for the afternoon.

Public holidays to be observed during the closure period (as specified under the Enterprise Agreement) are as follows:

Christmas Day                   Wednesday, 25 December 2013

Proclamation Day               Thursday, 26 December 2013

APS public holiday              Friday, 27 December 2013

New Year’s Day                  Wednesday, 1 January 2014

The following days will count as annual recreation leave for all staff, except where such staff members are required to work to maintain essential services: Monday, 23 December 2013; Tuesday, 24 December 2013; Monday, 30 December 2013; and Tuesday, 31 December 2013.
