Have your say in Shaping Flinders

The Bedford Park Campus’ Plaza will come alive from late this week during the first phase of an extensive consultation project to understand and define user needs for a new student hub.

The development of the student hub has been identified as a key priority in Flinders University’s Strategic Plan 2012–2016, and the new hub will be the vibrant heart of Flinders University and a place for students and staff to learn, relax and socialise. The hub will be both physical and virtual in structure, recognising the diversity of study behaviours at the University.

Given the geographic spread of the campus and the diverse student and staff population, the engagement campaign during the month of September will capture a range of feedback from students and staff and ask them what they really need from this new development. Activities to gather feedback will include Plaza hoardings where users can scribble their needs, roving Hub Ambassadors, online and social media engagement and a website where students and staff can provide feedback on their needs.

After developing an understanding of hub user needs, a report will be prepared which will drive the elements of the project and a communication strategy to ensure everyone gets behind this exciting development.

We’re starting with a blank canvas and want to hear what you need from the hub to enhance your time at Flinders University. So have your say today.
