The Flinders Australia- Indonesia symposium held on campus last week was mentioned in two articles in the Australian, one featuring a call by Federal Minister for Education Christopher Pyne (who spoke at the symposium) for more language study by Australians, and the other on the possible siting of a ‘house of culture’ at Flinders by the Indonesian government. Research by Dr Aaron Drummond (Education) on the lack of links between levels of video game playing by young people and their academic performance was the subject of a story in the Advertiser.
