Mr David Howard has been appointed as the new University Librarian at Flinders, replacing Mr Ian McBain on his recent retirement.

Mr Howard and his family come to Adelaide from Edith Cowan University in Perth, where he was University Librarian.

He has 13 years of experience as leader of a library executive team in the higher education sector, and  brings to Flinders an advanced understanding of library systems and information literacy.

Mr Howard holds a BA in History and Asian Studies from Murdoch University and a Master of Science in Project Management as well as a Graduate Diploma of Information and Library Studies. He is a current and active member of a number of professional associations.
