Solar array for Law and Commerce completed

solarInstallation is complete on the University’s largest renewable energy project – a 65kW solar PV system on the Law and Commerce building.

Installation of the solar array is the culmination of a program of works to improve energy efficiency, reduce utility costs and improve the internal environment within the Law and Commerce building.

An array of 260 Tindo Solar manufactured solar panels placed on tilted frames facing north will maximise summer time energy production. The solar array, manufactured and installed by Tindo, Australia’s only solar panel manufacturer, will produce on average 95 MWh of electricity output per year, further reducing the University’s reliance on grid supplied energy.

A screen has been located adjacent to the café in Law and Commerce where you will be able to see details of the work completed in the building and information on the solar system’s performance.
