Upcoming service and soil investigation works at the intersection of Flinders Drive/Main South Road and on Flinders Drive itself for the Darlington Upgrade project will affect traffic flow in coming weeks.

Service depthing works will be undertaken at the intersection between the hours of 7am and 7pm on these weekends:

• Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January
• Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January
• Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February

These works will involve the use of a small drilling rig set up on the back of a small truck which cores through the pavement/footpath with a high pressure water jet/vacuum to locate the vertical position of services. Speed and lane restrictions will be in place throughout the intersection during the works but all traffic movements and property access points will be maintained.

Minor soil investigation works will be undertaken on Flinders Drive itself on Monday 19 January  between the hours 7am and 7pm. These works will involve the use of a truck mounted drilling rig which will drill five 1.5m boreholes on Flinders Drive.

Again, minor speed and lane restrictions will be in place along Flinders Drive throughout the works but all traffic movements and property access points will be maintained.
