Research Integrity training

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor David Day recently reminded all researchers, both staff and students, of the need to comply with the principles and practices described in the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.

The Code addresses: supervision of research trainees; research data management; authorship and publication; peer review; conflicts of interest; cross-institutional collaborations; and the handling of allegations of research misconduct. It is a condition of funding from the ARC and NHMRC, endorsed by Universities Australia, that institutions comply with the Code. Researchers must also comply with all research-related University policies and procedures.

To provide University-wide training in research integrity and the Code, Dr Peter Wigley, Manager, Research Ethics and Integrity, is presenting a seminar twice this year (this seminar was presented to Schools last year):

The seminar will be first held on Thursday, 30 April from 10am to 11am in Health Sciences Lecture Theatre 1.09, and will be repeated on Thursday, 22 October.

Please register your attendance here. For enquiries, please contact Dr Peter Wigley.
