INDOfest for October long weekend

gamelanAdelaide’s Indonesian community will stage its popular eighth INDOfest event over the October long weekend. Flinders is a sponsor of the event, which is believed to be the biggest celebration of Indonesian culture in Australia.

Speaking at the event’s launch at the Migration Museum on Sunday, the Lady Mayoress of Adelaide, Genevieve Theseira-Haese said: “INDOfest is a great opportunity for Adelaide’s Indonesian community to showcase its heritage and culture through dance, music and food – an experience you will never forget.”

INDOfest 2015 will be staged by AIASA in conjunction with the Migration Museum, the SA Museum, the Art Gallery of SA and State Library on Monday 5 October from 12pm to 7pm. Entry is free. Entrances are from North Terrace adjacent to the Art Gallery and from Kintore Avenue. INDOfest 2015 is the final event in this year’s OzAsia program, which has a special focus on Indonesia.
