Emeritus Professor Raj Huilgol of the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics launched his latest book during the Australian Mathematical Association conference at Flinders.

Fluid Mechanics of Viscoplasticity, which describes the dynamics and kinetics behind the injection moulding process, was launched by Professor Roger Tanner of the University of Sydney, who supervised Professor Huilgol’s PhD in the late 1960s.

The book grew out of Australian Research Council Linkage grant for a project that saw Professor Huilgol work with industry partner Moldflow in Melbourne.
