R” is a software environment for statistical computing and graphics.

Essentially it is a programming language and therefore, not the simplest to use. However, it is available under an open access licence and frequently used by researchers as a first platform in which new statistical procedures are released. The University’s eResearch team has negotiated an arrangement with a provider of online R courses, which allows our staff and postgraduate students to obtain close to 80 per cent discounts on their workshops.

The training is offered through the online learning marketplace called Udemy.

The cost of the training will have to be funded privately or through local schools’ arrangements aimed to support researchers.
