Award for Flinders optometry academic

Tony PFlinders University’s Associate Professor Tony Phillips has become the only non-American to receive a prestigious ‘Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS) Lifetime Achievement Award of Excellence in Optometric Education’ at this year’s GSLS Conference in Las Vegas.

Associate Professor Phillips was one of four award recipients recognised for their accomplishments in the field of contact lenses and optometry.

The GSLS awards are given annually to distinguished clinicians, scholars and/or scientists in the contact lens field – particularly those working in areas relating to specialty contact lenses.
