Among numerous members of staff in the mainstream media this week, Professor Doug McEvoy (Medicine) was featured on Channel 9 TV news and on ABC radio discussing findings that link sleep apnoea and other sleep breathing disorders to stroke.

Professor John Spoehr of the Flinders Business School and the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute  continued his radio and newspaper commentary on the fate of Arrium and the prospects of steelmaking in Australia.

Professor John Long (Biological Sciences) was quoted in an article in Cosmos magazine, commenting on the theory that dinosaurs were in decline long before their extinction; he also contributed an article to Australasian Science on the insights in palaeontology made possible by new C-T scanning technology. Tomorrow he will publish an article in the Conversation on the oldest known fossilised heart.
