New women in STEMM program

The inaugural Thinker in Residence for a new program for women in STEMM  is Professor Fiona Cameron, Executive Director of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology at the Australian Research Council.

The new program, ‘Changing the face of Science: STEMM women branching out’, is designed to help provide female PhD students in the faculties of Science and Engineering and Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences with skills to help them continue and succeed in STEMM related careers.

The program consists of two parts: ‘Leaderlab’, which focuses on skills and leadership development; and a ‘Thinker in Residence’  program in which leading female scientists take part in presentations and discussions.

The Thinker in Residence will available via email for one month after presenting to take part in discussion or to answer follow-on questions.

Professor Cameron will speak at 3pm on April 26 in Health Science Lecture Theatre 1.01. All are welcome.
