Flinders’ Institute for Research in the Humanities has had a big year exploring its theme of ‘Technologies of Memory and Affect’ – and next year will be even bigger.
The Institute has confirmed a special collection in MIA (Media International Australia) in November 2017, is planning a combined exhibition/ conference, scheduled to coincide with the Adelaide Fringe, 16-17 February, and is holding a workshop in visual methodologies in January.
It is calling for traditional conference presentations, creative presentations and/or involvement in a visual methodologies workshop preceding the MIA exhibition opening.
Important dates to note:
16-17 February: Conference and exhibition, scheduled to coincide with the Adelaide Fringe
30 December: 300-word abstracts for the MIA edited collection are due (with full drafts due on 6 March)
30 December: 300-word proposals for the ‘Technologies of Memory and Affect’ conference
