NVI to pass key milestone during US trip

Fourteen people from 10 startups will take part in a New Venture Institute visit to San Francisco, Austin Texas (for The South by South West festival), and New York City – on the only trip of its kind from Adelaide.

The visit is NVI’s fifth trip to the US and will see it cross the important 50 milestone of entrepreneurs travelling to the US to expand their horizons.

NVI has a number of objectives for the startup founders. These include:

  • Returning with the inspiration to build global companies from Adelaide
  • Being better informed about opportunities in the US
  • Building strong networks for future growth in the US and Australia.

The NVI has great partnerships in the US, including Tech Ranch and International Accelerator, both of which assist the NVI and its entrepreneurs on the ground.

Several for profit incubators run similar programs, including Venture Catalyst (Steve Baxter) in QLD and Elevate 61 (a program run by KPMG), putting the Flinders NVI trip in unique company.
